About BODA

In the world of the BODA series, vibrant colours and subtle nuances come together in a special collection of abstract striped artworks. These colour studies made with paper masking tape are informed by my unique designs from the “Soft / Solid” series. My artistic journey often begins by using yarn windings for colour studies. But during my travels through Japan, I was captured by the simplistic beauty of Japanese washi tape, which now plays an increasingly prominent role in my creative process.

The colour studies of the BODA series are rooted in my experiences during a glass-blowing residency in beautiful Sweden. Driven by my passion for process, experimentation and craft, and my profound fascination with colour, these studies developed. Each piece is handcrafted with careful attention to colour and contrast, revealing only up close the handmade nature and materiality of the work.

The BODA series is intended not only as decoration but also as a source of inspiration and contemplation for those who admire them. Each work tells a unique story that only you can discover.
