Blended Fibers is a visual exploration of textiles through a digital lens. Created in collaboration with multimedia artist Sonia Górecka, the project examines the geometry of textile fibres — their cross-sections, filaments and hidden structures — using 3D software, archive material and microscopy references.
What began as an experiment with digital design tools quickly unfolded into a broader investigation. As we modelled fabrics in 3D, we became fascinated by the internal forms of fibres themselves. These tiny structures, normally studied in fields like archaeology, criminology and materials science, became our muse.
Blended Fibers translates this invisible world into a tactile visual language. From raw fluff to engineered filaments, we traced six types of fibres through layered patterns, digital renders and abstract studies. The result is a compact artist’s publication: a hand-numbered edition of 70, blending textile research with a sculptural approach to surface design.
This project is both a reflection on textile materiality and an invitation to look closer, to see fabric not only as surface, but as structure, system and story.
