The Atelier
textile and surface design
In my chromatic atelier in Rotterdam, research, commissioned work and personal projects come together. My personal projects explore the cultural, ecological and social dimensions of colour, pattern and material, through themes as varied as craft and heritage, bacterial pigments and colour blindness. Each work is infused with the same sensitivity to colour and the same exploration of materials.
These works often inform the bespoke designs I create. Clients range from private individuals, hospitality and the public sector to companies such as PUMA, Auping, kiten.kyoto, Biobased Creations and BASF Coatings.
