Rug “Confluence”

Colour inspiration can be found anywhere

This palette draws from my travels through Japan. Confluence reflects that influence, both in tone and in spirit. The composition is a signature Kukka design, originally developed in a mural and tapestries, now translated into a soft and lustrous rug. The colours are inspired by the delicate artistry of silk Temari balls I discovered in Matsumoto. Each line and gradient mirrors the fluid geometry of Temari. Confluence balances movement and layered colours that shift like light and shadow.

Everyday luxury

Tufted in a plush Saxony cut pile from resilient polyamide, Confluence offers a tactile richness that invites physical and emotional connection. The longer pile height and felt backing enhance comfort, making it ideal for spaces that value both luxury and lasting quality.

Made with a subtly lustrous yarn, the rug reflects light in shifting ways. As the pile moves, whether brushed by footsteps or a vacuum, the angle of light changes, altering the perceived colour and adding a living, dynamic quality to the surface.

The high-definition Chromojet print technique allows subtle colour transitions across the surface, creating a meditative, almost weightless visual rhythm.
